A tile maker and a woodworker. Brought together by urchin fishing
It begins with that square of clay—molded, stained, painted and glazed by hand. The premise is that tile.
My brother was an urchin diver in Maine and his best friend and fellow diver steered the boat.
That steersman, Jeffrey Wentworth, is a 7th generation Mainer and brilliant woodworker. I told him what I wanted to do and he took off with these amazing frames, hand-made from Maine sourced wood.
And so became ART SQUARED.
. . .
All framed, hand-painted tiles are 11 x 11 inches.
(on the QT ...) Mention CREATIVE MAINE and Deb will take 'extra' good care of you.
