I’m lucky to own big rug looms for large size rug and wall-hanging commissions. This summer after finishing a large commission I decided to have a little fun with a different kind of project. Weaving a series of four small rugs side-by-side to explore repetition in motif and color.

I enjoyed this so much I did a second run with a slight variation in the design:
There is something so satisfying about modifying color and design in a repetition—each individual piece is unique and when viewed together they talk to each other.
